Revey Twa Fam
Project Overview
The Revey Twa Fam programme is an empowerment activity that welcomes women from the southeast region of Mauritius (Mahebourg to Grand Port), impacted by Covid 19 and the Wakashio Oil Spill. Women were selected because of their vulnerability. Each participant took part in a three-month program, attending the course three times a week from 9:00 to 12:00 and two weeks of compulsory practical experience. The beneficiaries are now able to secure employment after finishing the course.
Of the 17 women who started the program, 10 completed the training and 6 of them were offered jobs after the training. Some women stopped because of various reasons and have been invited to the next batch.
The beneficiaries are now empowered because of the following:
- Able to find a job
- Able to help financially in their home
- Have the know-how to assist their family at home.
- Have a certificate, working experience and recommendations.
Thank you to our funders for this life changing opportunity given to these women.
