Project Overview

Many young people struggle to find employment due to incomplete schooling or financial constraints.
Poverty exacerbates their vulnerability, pushing them toward illegal activities. Atelier Espoir et Avenir was initiated to support the youth in becoming more employable in the hospitality sector and ultimately empowering them and lifting them out of their impoverished communities. Giving them hope and a future Atelier Espoir et Avenir is committed to transforming lives by providing practical
skills, fostering resilience, and creating pathways to a brighter future.

Description of Project

A building has recently been rented to house the cooking school, Atelier Espoir et Avenir, in La Gaulette, situated on the west coast of Mauritius. The building is currently undergoing extensive renovations to meet Mauritius Qualification Authority (MQA) standards. Ensuring that the course is MQA approved enhances the chances of the graduates of the course in securing internships and employment.
Atelier Espoir et Avenir requires funding for the completion of the renovation as well as the purchase and installation of equipment. Additionally, volunteers are welcome to assist with the painting process.
