Project Overview

This project facilitated school entry for 84 underprivileged children for the 2023-2024 school year.

Since 2017 HRM has been working with 5 field teams (project partners) through other NPOs on the ground in Madagascar each with their zone of intervention.

  1. Each team identified the families who struggle the most to send their children to school, in their respective communities. They recorded the socio-demographic information of each family and child to confirm eligibility.
  2. The project partners (teams) submitted a list of children to be sponsored with information such as:  age/sex/grade/previous school grade/end of the year results, and HRM confirmed the fund allocation per child according to their grade.
  3. school materials were purchased (after careful quotation comparison) and delivered to the project partners who distributed the School Kits according to the pre-selected list of children on the program. A letter was signed by each parent on receipt of the School Kit. These have all been received and verified by I61 Foundation
  4. Funding was allocated to each project partner for the inscription of the children they were responsible for, at their respective school. The project partner paid the schools directly and a receipt was issued by the school for each child funded. These have all been received and verified by I61 Foundation

The project partners made a follow up visit to the children to mark their progress in the regions of  Analamanga, Antsinanana, Analanjirofo, Ihorombe
